JACY IS ONE TODAY!

Image
It is hard to believe that it is even possible, but our little angel turned ONE today! What an amazing year this has been for our family! When Jacy was born she weighed 3 pounds 13 ounces and was 15 3/4 inches long. Here we are 1 year later, weighing in at 20 pounds and 26 inches long! She is growing like a weed! When Jacy was born we were very worried about the struggles she faced as 2-month preemie with Spina Bifida. Since day 1 she has been a fighter. She is doing AWESOME and we are so proud of her! Her latest milestones include getting herself into the standing position by herself in her crib (I was quite surprised when I SAT her down in her crib, turned around to hang up her clothes, and turned back around to see her standing up in her crib-hanging on with one hand and waving with the other!), sitting up all by herself from the laying down position, and her 2nd tooth! She is doing so great! Jacy had a joint birthday party on Saturday with her cousin Rylee who turned 5. It was a lo...

Trip to Branson Missouri

Image
On March 11th Jacy and I hit the friendly skies and flew to Branson Missouri to visit my best friend Julie, her husband Dustin, and their boys Tyler and Wyatt. IT WAS A BLAST!!! The kids played together a lot, and Tyler was so sweet with Jacy. He even offered to let her sleep with his FAVORITE Superman blanket (from what I hear, he never offers that to anyone!). It was so much fun to get to spend time with them. We hope to be able to do it a little more often!!! We fit as much as we could in the short time we had. We went to the Wonders of Wildlife, which is a hunting and fishing museum and aquarium. It was so much fun to see and learn about all the different animals. The kids had so much fun! Next stop was the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans museum. It is beautiful! We had a great time seeing all the memorabilia from Roy and Dale. We even got a little private viewing of “Roy “Dusty” Rogers Jr. and the High Riders while they practiced for their upcoming shows in the Happy Trails theatre, whi...

Renaissance Festival

Image
Yesterday me and Jacy went on our annual visit to the Renaissance Festival with our friend Candi, her 2 boys Henry and Bruce, and her mom Cher. We had a BLAST!!! There are so many fun things to see and do there...and lots of good food to eat too! We met lots of exciting people. Jacy wasn't too fond of the Renaissance warriors that we came across. Their masks scared her a little bit. Henry and Bruce had such awesome hair do's that LOTS of people asked to have their picture taken with them through out day. Had we planned better, we could have colored Jacy's mohawk curl pink to match the boys! Jacy LOVED the beautiful fairy that she met. She even got her own magical fairy wand! We had a great time!!!
