Jacy is 4 Months Old!
It is hard to believe that Jacy is going to be 4 months old tomorrow! She actually had her 4-month check-up with her Dr. On Wednesday. She is 9lbs. 12 oz. and 21 inches long. She is a very sweet baby and we are having so much fun with her! She is now smiling at us, and has even given us some out loud giggles when we play peek-a-boo with her. They melt our hearts!!! The Pediatrician is happy with her weight gain, but is concerned about her head. The measurement of her head circumference has increased 5 centimeters in the past month, which is more than normal. The head becoming enlarged is one of the signs that the ventricles are becoming enlarged with fluid and putting pressure on the brain. We have been scheduled for another brain MRI next Wednesday July 27th. We don't know what the outcome will be, but we are preparing ourselves mentally for the possibility of her needing shunts.
