Jacy had a Dr.'s appointment with Dr. Manwaring, the neurosurgeon on Friday August 26th and we got wonderful news!!! The Dr. doesn't feel that Jacy needs shunts at this time. The ventricles in her brain are enlarged, like we have known all along, but he feels that they are stable. We wants to see her again in 2 months, and wants her to have another MRI in 4 months. She weighed in at 11 lbs. 8 oz. and was 22 1/2 inches long. We feel very blessed that she is doing so well. Thanks for everyone's continued support and prayers! Love, Jody

On Saturday afternoon our air conditioning unit broke so went to stay with the Harvey's, some good friends of ours, until it could be fixed on Tuesday. Jacy got to have her first slumber party with their new 1 month old daughter Brenna. The girls had a great time eating, napping, and playing with their Mommy's and puppy's during the day!

Jacy is ready to go hunting with her Daddy and Grandpa Zeke. Here she is all dressed up in her camoflauge outfit, sitting with Grandpa Zeke (right). Next to them is her friend Brenna with her Grandpa Dave. Their Daddy's bought them these matching outfits. Jacy also has some red long johns, complete with the little butt flap and some Carhartt overalls! She is ready for the outdoors!

Hello Family and Friends! Jacy is going to be 5 months old next week.. I just can't believe it! We got on the scale together yesterday and she is up to 11 lbs.! She has such a cute and sweet personality. She smiles at us all the time, and continues to be more and more vocal each day. We got some exiting news today... We learned this morning that Jacy's story was published in the latest issue of the Arizona Beehive, a publication by the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. I was interviewed for the article a couple of weeks ago, but was never notified if the story was going to be used or not. Somedays Jacy truly is Daddy's girl! On the way home from work last week they stopped of to fit Jacy for a 4-wheeler! Can you believe they found one that almost fits!

Jake is a great protector of Jacy. Whenever she cries he goes and lays by her and keeps watching me to make sure that I know she is not happy. He loves to lick her toes too! (He is loving her, not tasting her) =)

In June we took a road trip to a little Arizona town called Tortilla Flats and got Jacy this cute little cowgirl outfit. She is just now fitting into it.
