Our little angel turned TWO!!! It is hard to believe how fast the time is flying by! She is such a happy little girl and has a smile that will melt your heart in a second! It has been a real joy watching her grow and learn. She has the most beautiful bright eyes and such a fun little personality. She is very active and is always ready for her next adventure. Her vocuabulary continues to grow, with new words such as feet, family, house, moon, airplane, Ouchie, Ni-night, and she has been working on the names of her friends and family. She has also added "Sleeping" to her sign language vocabulary. She sings her ABC's everyday. The middle is a little hard to understand, but she has "AB...XYZ" down! She has also started counting to 10!!! She sometimes misses numbers 3 and 4, but nails the rest of them! She also gets so excited when her Daddy comes home everyday. When he walks in the door she throw both arms up in the air and says "YOOHOO!" We are so proud...

This past weekend we had some very special visitors! Our friend Brandy Correa, her sons Andres, Jojo, and Jayden and her mom Carla made the drive from Stockton, CA to spend a couple of days with us. I met Brandy in San Francisco when Jacy was born. Her son, Jayden, was admitted to the UCSF Children's hospital, for seizures, the same day that Jacy was born. We were lucky to have our kids assigned to the cribs next to each other. After 6 weeks we had become great friends! This was a very special visit for us beacuse it was the first time that we have really seen Jayden outside of a hospital room! It was so great to have them spend a couple of days with us. Thanks for making the drive! You being here made Jacy's birthday extra special!

Jacy had quite the 2 year old birthday bash! She had lots of friends and family over to play and help her celebrate. It was a garden party and all the kids got to take a bucket, a garden shovel, potting soil and a flower and plant their own flower to take home! It was so fun to watch the kids plant their flowers and play in the yard! There were 2 birthday cupcake-cakes. One in the shape of a butterfly and one in the shape of flowers. They were very cute, and had the brightest frosting I think I have ever seen! Jacy got lots of new clothes and some very fun toys to play with! Thanks so much to everyone to came to celebrate with us, and thank you to those of you who could not be with us but sent Jacy birthday wishes! We love and apprecaite all of you!

We are expecting baby #2 and we are so excited!!! I had my first appointment on Tuesday and I am glad to report that, so far, everything looks good! The baby is still so tiny that we were not able to see the spinal chord during the ultra sound, but we did get to see a stong little heartbeat! The measurements of the baby also indicate that it is growing just perfectly! My official due date is October 26th, but the baby will be delievered sometime around the end of September. Because of the fetal surgery and delivery with Jacy I am at a higher risk for uterine rupture. The Dr. wants to make sure that the baby is delivered before I start having any contractions, so that the risk is decreased. I will have another ultra sound in 4 weeks to see how the baby is doing. We are so excited to share our news with you! We ask that you please keep our new little baby in your thoughts and prayers!

Jacy went potty in the big girl potty!!! A couple of weeks ago we went ahead and bought Jacy a little potty chair. Not because we were ready to potty train her, but we thought that it would be nice for her to get used to seeing it in the bathroom before we tried to get her to use it. We never talked to Jacy about it, or showed her how to sit on it or anything. Well... she used it on her own!!! After we were done working on our backyard, a couple of weekends ago, we had a BBQ here at the house with our family and friends. All of the sudden Jacy came running into the living room, grabbed my friend Candi's hand and pulled her to the bathroom. Jacy is able to say "potty" in sign language and verbally say "poopie" so Candi knew what she was talking about. Candi got her all set up on the potty chair and started to read a book and Jacy went potty!!!! Of coarse we all clapped and cheered for her! She thought it was pretty great. She pulls us to the bathroom at least onc...

For the past couple of weeks we have been working very hard on our backyard. We had grass a couple of years ago, but when I left for California to have Jacy it become bottom of the priority list and it eventually died. Well, we have found out how much Jacy loves to be outside and decided that we needed to get grass in the yard so that she could spend as much time as possible outside playing, at least while the weather is this nice!!! It took 51 tons or rock and decomposed granite, over 3,100 square feet of sod, and the help of lots of family and friends...but the result is beautiful!!! The sod was just installed this past Tuesday and we are not able to walk on it for 2 weeks while it settles in. WE CAN'T WAIT!!! A HUGE thank you to my mom, most of the Richardson clan, and the Slisz family. We couldn't have done it with out your help! Game of Croquet anyone!

Yesterday Jacy and I spent the day at the Renaissance Festival with my good friend Candi, her boys Henry and Bruce, her mom Cher, and her Uncle Wayne. We had such a good time!!! We enjoyed yummy food like crepes and chocolate covered strawberry's and cheesecake on a stick! There lots of shows to watch too. A highlight for me was the "Cast In Bronze" show. It is a man who plays these HUGE bells, kind of like a piano. His instrument weights 4-tons! The most fun was having our pictures taken dressed up like Renaissance Priates!!! I think Jacy makes the cutest pirate I have ever seen! They also had rides for the kids that are like what they would have had during the Renaissance. Jacy's favorite was the butterfly swing. She rode with Henry. Instead of it being run by electricity, there is a big crank in the center of the ride, and two girls hold on to the crank handles and walk around and around to make the swing turn. I thought that Jacy was going to be scared, but everyt...
