Christmas Weekend 2006
We had such a wonderful Christmas weekend, full of family and fun!!! Here are some highlights ...

About 2 seconds before we were ready to walk out the door for church on Christmas Eve Jacy walked into the kitchen to show us her first attempt at applying her own lip stick! I would say she did a pretty good job! Not a mark on her Christmas dress or on her fingers... She kept it all on her face! I thought she looked quite beautiful!
Christmas morning started around 8:00am when Jacy began to wake up everyone at Grandpa John and Grandma Linda's house. Here we (Jody, Jay, Jacy, Janell, and Jaylen) are waiting for the go ahead to head for the living room to see what Santa brought for us. We all must have been good in 2006 because our stockings were full and presents were waiting. Jacy got a neat toy that has lots of doors that are color coordinated
with keys to unlock them. There are also shapes and animals that fit behind each door, and she has to use the keys to get them out. Santa must have known that keys are one of her favorite things to play with right now! It is really helping her fine motor skills and coordination too-Her therapist's will be happy! She also got a Barbie laptop, so hopefully she will stop playing with mommy's laptop when I am trying to work! Grandma Linda also made her a beautiful princess blanket! The day after Christmas Jacy came home to one more present waiting for her... A play kitchen!!!
She helped her daddy build it and has been having a blast playing with it ever since! She is now getting into the stage where she likes to cook for everyone. She carries around her mixing cup and spoon, she stirs and stirs, and when it is ready she gives you the cup so that you can have a taste of whatever it is that she had made. Her favorite part about the kitchen so far is putting all of her new tea set cups and saucers that she got from Grandma Debby and Grandpa Zeke in the oven. I get the feeling that she thinks it is the dishwasher! It is so fun to watch her growing, exploring, and learning new things daily!
The best part Christmas was spending time with our family. We were able to have a Chrismas get together with the Campbell side of our family on the Friday night before Christmas. My cousin Emily and her husband Jeremy were scheduled to join us, but were unforuntately involved in a serious car accident on their way from Flagstaff. Emily suffered some serious injury's. We were happy to learn that she was released from the hospital today... home and on her way to recovery! Christmas night we went to Show Low and spent a night with Grandpa Zeke and Grandma Debby, which is always a nice time!
Thank you all for your holiday wishes!
Jacy love the lipstick. Kirstyn's sisters had her up in their room and when she came down she has a full face of make-up!
