Great start to 2010!

Being in Spokane, WA for the first week for January was a wonderful way to start off 2010 for our family! We had such a great time!!! It is always fun to share fun memories with our family, especially ones that we don't get to see that often.

We wanted to have a special New Years celebration... and we did! The kids both stayed up until midnight for the festivities too! We invited Aunt Jennine and Uncle Tim over to Grandma Sally and Grandpa Jerry's house. Grandma and Grandpa had gotten our family the WII gaming system for Christmas, so it was a WII bowling tournament to ring in the new year! We had so much fun!!! As the clock struck midnight we all toasted in the New Year with sparkling cider and chocolate covered strawberries! YUMMY! Then we headed out side for some AWESOME fireworks! Thanks for the beautiful show Grandpa Jerry!
In the days following New Years we just enjoyed our time in Spokane with Jay's family. One of the main highlights of the vacation was a trip to Mount Spokane. There is an area established for cross-country skiers. It wasn't very busy and there was TONS of snow to play in! The kids were so cute all bundled up in their snow suits and they had an absolute blast playing in the snow. Jacy made beautiful snow angels, Jake would just stop and fall down face first so that he could get a mouthful of snow to eat, they loved making and throwing snowballs at mom, and they dug a cool little snow cave tunnel. It was super cold, but very very fun and the scenic view was gorgeous!

As always, we were sad when it was time to leave. We look forward to heading up north again soon for some more amazing memories!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
May this year be full of love, hope, peace, and blessings for you and your families!
